The Awakening Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDEFFG

The Soul of late a lovely sleeping childA
Spreads sudden wings and stands in radiant guiseB
Eyed like the morn and bent upon the skiesB
Her the blue gulf dismays not nor the wildA
Horizons with the wrecks of thunder piledA
Storm has she known and how its murmur diesB
Starlike through stainless heavens she would riseB
And be no more with cloudy dreams beguiledA
Was sleep not sweet sweet till on sleeping earsC
Earth's voices broke in discord Now she hearsD
Far far away diviner music moveE
Nor shall her wing be sated of its flightF
Nor shall her eyes be weary of the nightF
While round her sweep the singing stars of LoveG
