Eternal Rest Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDECDE

When the impatient spirit leaves behindA
The clogging hours and makes no dear delayB
To drop this Nessus shirt of night and dayB
To cast the flesh that bound and could not bindA
The heart untamable the tireless mindA
In equal dissolution shall the clayB
That once was seer or singer flee awayB
It shall be fire and blown upon the windA
Not us befits such change in radiance dressedC
Not us O Earth for whom thou biddest ceaseD
Our grey endurance of the dark and coldE
These eyes have watched with grief and now would restC
Rest we desire and on thy bosom's peaceD
The long slow change to unremembering mouldE
