The Choice Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCADEEDFAAFAGHGAIA AJ

I saw in dream the spirits unbegotA
Veiled floating phantoms lost in twilight spaceB
For one the hour had struck he paused the placeB
Rang with an awful VoiceC
Soul choose thy lotA
Two paths are offered that in velvet flowerD
Slopes easily to every earthly prizeE
Follow the multitude and bind thine eyesE
Thou and thy sons' sons shall have peace with powerD
This narrow track skirts the abysmal vergeF
Here shalt thou stumble totter weep and bleedA
All men shall hate and hound thee and thy seedA
Thy portion be the wound the stripe the scourgeF
But in thy hand I place my lamp for lightA
Thy blood shall be the witness of my LawG
Choose now for all the agesH
Then I sawG
The unveiled spirit grown divinely brightA
Choose the grim path He turned I knew full wellI
The pale great martyr forehead shadowy curledA
The glowing eyes that had renounced the worldA
Disgraced despised immortal IsraelJ
