Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDDCEEEFFLook deeper yet mark 'midst the wave blurred mass | A |
In lines distinct in colors clear defined | B |
The typic groups and figures of mankind | B |
Behold within the cool and liquid glass | A |
Bright child folk sporting with smooth yellow shells | C |
Astride of dolphins leaping up to kiss | D |
Fair mother faces From the vast abyss | D |
How joyously their thought free laughter wells | C |
Lulled by the overwhelming water's sound | E |
And some make mouths at dragons undismayed | E |
Oh dauntless innocence The gulfs profound | E |
Reecho strangely with their ringing glee | F |
And with wise mermaids' plaintive melody | F |
