Symphonic Studies: Ii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDDCEEEFF

Look deeper yet mark 'midst the wave blurred massA
In lines distinct in colors clear definedB
The typic groups and figures of mankindB
Behold within the cool and liquid glassA
Bright child folk sporting with smooth yellow shellsC
Astride of dolphins leaping up to kissD
Fair mother faces From the vast abyssD
How joyously their thought free laughter wellsC
Lulled by the overwhelming water's soundE
And some make mouths at dragons undismayedE
Oh dauntless innocence The gulfs profoundE
Reecho strangely with their ringing gleeF
And with wise mermaids' plaintive melodyF
