Sympathy (ii) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCABAABDEDEFF

Therefore I dare reveal my private woeA
The secret blots of my imperfect heartB
Nor strive to shrink or swell mine own desertC
Nor beautify nor hide For this I knowA
That even as I am thou also artB
Thou past heroic forms unmoved shalt goA
To pause and bide with me to whisper lowA
Not I alone am weak not I apartB
Must suffer struggle conquer day by dayD
Here is my very cross by strangers borneE
Here is my bosom sun wherefrom I prayD
Hourly deliverance this my rose my thornE
This woman my soul's need can understandF
Stretching o'er silent gulfs her sister handF
