Long Island Sound Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAAABBACDCEAA

I see it as it looked one afternoonA
In August by a fresh soft breeze o'erblownA
The swiftness of the tide the light thereonA
A far off sail white as a crescent moonA
The shining waters with pale currents strewnA
The quiet fishing smacks the Eastern coveB
The semi circle of its dark green groveB
The luminous grasses and the merry sunA
In the grave sky the sparkle far and wideC
Laughter of unseen children cheerful chirpD
Of crickets and low lisp of rippling tideC
Light summer clouds fantastical as sleepE
Changing unnoted while I gazed thereonA
All these fair sounds and sights I made my ownA
