From One Augur To Another Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEEEEBB

So Calchas on the sacred PalatineA
Thou thought of Mopsus and o'er wastes of seaB
A flower brought your message I divineA
Through my deep art the kindly mockeryB
That played about your lips and in your eyesC
Plucking the frail leaf while you dreamed of homeD
Thanks for the silent greeting I shall prizeC
Beyond June's rose the scentless flower of RomeD
All the Campagna spreads before my sightE
The mouldering wall the Caesars' tombs unwreathedE
Rome and the Tiber and the yellow lightE
Wherein the honey colored blossom breathedE
But most I thank it egoists that we beB
For proving then and there you thought of meB
