Assurance Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDCDEFEFDA

Last night I slept and when I woke her kissA
Still floated on my lips For we had strayedB
Together in my dream through some dim gladeB
Where the shy moonbeams scarce dared light our blissA
The air was dank with dew between the treesC
The hidden glow worms kindled and were spentD
Cheek pressed to cheek the cool the hot night breezeC
Mingled ouir hair our breath and came and wentD
As sporting with our passion Low and deepE
Spake in mine ear her voice quot And didst thou dreamF
This could be buried This could be sleepE
And love be thrall to death Nay whatso seemF
Have faith dear heart this is the thing that is quotD
Thereon I woke and on my lips her kissA
