Love And Friendship Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGFHIHI

Love is like the wild rose briarA
Friendship like the holly treeB
The holly is dark when the rose briar bloomsC
But which will bloom most contantlyD
The wild rose briar is sweet in the springE
Its summer blossoms scent the airF
Yet wait till winter comes againG
And who wil call the wild briar fairF
Then scorn the silly rose wreath nowH
And deck thee with the holly's sheenI
That when December blights thy browH
He may still leave thy garland greenI
