The wrinkles of the roadD

It reaches to the fenceI
It wraps it rail by railJ
Till it is lost in fleecesK
It flings a crystal veilJ

On stump and stack and stemL
The summer's empty roomM
Acres of seams where harvests wereN
Recordless but for themL

It ruffles wrists of postsO
As ankles of a queenP
Then stills its artisans like ghostsO
Denying they have beenQ
