It sifts from leaden sievesA
It powders all the woodB
It fills with alabaster woolC
The wrinkles of the roadD

It makes an even faceE
Of mountain and of plainF
Unbroken forehead from the eastG
Unto the east againH

It reaches to the fenceI
It wraps it rail by railJ
Till it is lost in fleecesK
It flings a crystal veilJ

On stump and stack and stemL
The summer's empty roomM
Acres of seams where harvests wereN
Recordless but for themL

It ruffles wrists of postsO
As ankles of a queenP
Then stills its artisans like ghostsO
Denying they have beenQ
