The Lonely House Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEDFGFFHH IJKLMN OPQRPP PSTUVP EDRWWWXWWW

I know some lonely houses off the roadA
A robber 'd like the look ofB
Wooden barredC
And windows hanging lowD
Inviting toE
A porticoD
Where two could creepF
One hand the toolsG
The other peepF
To make sure all's asleepF
Old fashioned eyesH
Not easy to surpriseH
-
How orderly the kitchen 'd look by nightI
With just a clockJ
But they could gag the tickK
And mice won't barkL
And so the walls don't tellM
None willN
-
A pair of spectacles ajar just stirO
An almanac's awareP
Was it the mat winkedQ
Or a nervous starR
The moon slides down the stairP
To see who's thereP
-
There's plunder whereP
Tankard or spoonS
Earring or stoneT
A watch some ancient broochU
To match the grandmammaV
Staid sleeping thereP
-
Day rattles tooE
Stealth's slowD
The sun has got as farR
As the third sycamoreW
Screams chanticleerW
Who's thereW
And echoes trains awayX
Sneer WhereW
While the old couple just astirW
Fancy the sunrise left the door ajarW
