The Butterfly's Day Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IJKL MNON PQRA STAU

From cocoon forth a butterflyA
As lady from her doorB
Emerged a summer afternoonC
Repairing everywhereD
-
Without design that I could traceE
Except to stray abroadF
On miscellaneous enterpriseG
The clovers understoodH
-
Her pretty parasol was seenI
Contracting in a fieldJ
Where men made hay then struggling hardK
With an opposing cloudL
-
Where parties phantom as herselfM
To Nowhere seemed to goN
In purposeless circumferenceO
As 't were a tropic showN
-
And notwithstanding bee that workedP
And flower that zealous blewQ
This audience of idlenessR
Disdained them from the skyA
-
Till sundown crept a steady tideS
And men that made the hayT
And afternoon and butterflyA
Extinguished in its seaU
