Sight Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD DEFB GHIC JKLM NOCP

Before I got my eye put outA
I liked as well to seeB
As other creatures that have eyesC
And know no other wayD
-
But were it told to me to dayD
That I might have the skyE
For mine I tell you that my heartF
Would split for size of meB
-
The meadows mine the mountains mineG
All forests stintless starsH
As much of noon as I could takeI
Between my finite eyesC
-
The motions of the dipping birdsJ
The lightning's jointed roadK
For mine to look at when I likedL
The news would strike me deadM
-
So safer guess with just my soulN
Upon the window paneO
Where other creatures put their eyesC
Incautious of the sunP
