Returning. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIJ KBLB MENE OPQR

I years had been from homeA
And now before the doorB
I dared not open lest a faceC
I never saw beforeB
-
Stare vacant into mineD
And ask my business thereE
My business just a life I leftF
Was such still dwelling thereE
-
I fumbled at my nerveG
I scanned the windows nearH
The silence like an ocean rolledI
And broke against my earJ
-
I laughed a wooden laughK
That I could fear a doorB
Who danger and the dead had facedL
But never quaked beforeB
-
I fitted to the latchM
My hand with trembling careE
Lest back the awful door should springN
And leave me standing thereE
-
I moved my fingers offO
As cautiously as glassP
And held my ears and like a thiefQ
Fled gasping from the houseR
