Hunger Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIJ KLMN OPQP

I had been hungry all the yearsA
My noon had come to dineB
I trembling drew the table nearC
And touched the curious wineB
-
'T was this on tables I had seenD
When turning hungry loneE
I looked in windows for the wealthF
I could not hope to ownE
-
I did not know the ample breadG
'T was so unlike the crumbH
The birds and I had often sharedI
In Nature's dining roomJ
-
The plenty hurt me 't was so newK
Myself felt ill and oddL
As berry of a mountain bushM
Transplanted to the roadN
-
Nor was I hungry so I foundO
That hunger was a wayP
Of persons outside windowsQ
The entering takes awayP
