"glee! The Great Storm Is Over!" Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED FGHG HICI

Glee The great storm is overA
Four have recovered the landB
Forty gone down togetherA
Into the boiling sandB
-
Ring for the scant salvationC
Toll for the bonnie soulsD
Neighbor and friend and bridegroomE
Spinning upon the shoalsD
-
How they will tell the shipwreckF
When winter shakes the doorG
Till the children ask But the fortyH
Did they come back no moreG
-
Then a silence suffuses the storyH
And a softness the teller's eyeI
And the children no further questionC
And only the waves replyI
