Death is like the insectA
Menacing the treeB
Competent to kill itC
But decoyed may beB

Bait it with the balsamD
Seek it with the knifeE
Baffle if it cost youF
Everything in lifeE

Then if it have burrowedC
Out of reach of skillG
Ring the tree and leave itC
'T is the vermin's willG
