As Imperceptibly As Grief Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IJKL MNOP

As imperceptibly as griefA
The summer lapsed awayB
Too imperceptible at lastC
To seem like perfidyD
-
A quietness distilledE
As twilight long begunF
Or Nature spending with herselfG
Sequestered afternoonH
-
The dusk drew earlier inI
The morning foreign shoneJ
A courteous yet harrowing graceK
As guest who would be goneL
-
And thus without a wingM
Or service of a keelN
Our summer made her light escapeO
Into the beautifulP
