A Well Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE EEGE HIJI KHLH

What mystery pervades a wellA
The water lives so farB
Like neighbor from another worldC
Residing in a jarB
-
The grass does not appear afraidD
I often wonder heE
Can stand so close and look so boldF
At what is dread to meE
-
Related somehow they may beE
The sedge stands next the seaE
Where he is floorless yet of fearG
No evidence gives heE
-
But nature is a stranger yetH
The ones that cite her mostI
Have never passed her haunted houseJ
Nor simplified her ghostI
-
To pity those that know her notK
Is helped by the regretH
That those who know her know her lessL
The nearer her they getH
