A Poor Torn Heart, A Tattered Heart, Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFG CDHDDIDI

A poor torn heart a tattered heartA
That sat it down to restB
Nor noticed that the ebbing dayC
Flowed silver to the westB
Nor noticed night did soft descendD
Nor constellation burnE
Intent upon the visionF
Of latitudes unknownG
-
The angels happening that wayC
This dusty heart espiedD
Tenderly took it up from toilH
And carried it to GodD
There sandals for the barefootD
There gathered from the galesI
Do the blue havens by the handD
Lead the wandering sailsI
