You And To-day Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AA BB CC DD EE FF GG HH

With every rising of the sunA
Think of your life as just begunA
-
The past has shrived and buried deepB
All yesterdays there let them sleepB
-
Nor seek to summon back one ghostC
Of that innumerable hostC
-
Concern yourself with but to dayD
Woo it and teach it to obeyD
-
Your wish and will Since time beganE
To day has been the friend of manE
-
But in his blindness and his sorrowF
He looks to yesterday and to morrowF
-
You and to day a soul sublimeG
And the great pregnant hour of timeG
-
With God between to bind the trainH
Go forth I say attain attainH
