Words And Thoughts Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCB DEDDE FBFFG HFHHF IJIIJ KFKKF

He said as he sat in her theatre boxA
Between the acts What beastly weatherB
How like a parrot the lover talksC
And the lady is tame and the villain stalksC
I hope they finally die togetherB
-
He thought You are fair as the dawn's first rayD
I know the angels keep guard above youE
And so I chatter of weather and playD
While all the time I am mad to sayD
I love you love you love youE
-
He said The season is almost runF
How glad we are when the whirl is overB
For the toil of pleasure is more than its funF
And what is it all when all is doneF
But the stick of a rocket that has descendedG
-
He thought Oh God to be off somewhereH
Afar with you from this scene of fashionF
To know you were mine and to have you careH
And to lose myself in the crimson snareH
Of your lips in a kiss of passionF
-
He said You are going abroad no doubtI
This land of Liberty coldly scorningJ
I too shall journey a bit aboutI
From Wall Street up by the L Road outI
To Harlem and down each morningJ
-
He thought It must follow on land or seaK
This pent up passionate dumb devotionF
Till the cry of a rapture that may not beK
Shall reach your heart from the heart of meK
And stir you with strange emotionF
