Not seeking praise or place or power or pelf | B |
But life s best blessings for her higher self | B |
Which means the best for all | C |
She must have faith | D |
To make good friends of Trouble Pain and Death | E |
And understand their message | F |
She should be | G |
As redolent with tender sympathy | G |
As a rose is with fragrance | H |
Cheerfulness | H |
Should be her mantle even though her dress | H |
May be of Sorrow s weaving | I |
On her face | H |
A loyal nature leaves its seal of grace | H |
And chastity is in her atmosphere | J |
Not that chill chastity which seems austere | J |
Like untrod snow peaks lovely to behold | K |
Till once attained then barren loveless cold | K |
