What We Want Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCB DEFEGGE HGHGIIG

We have scores of temperance menA
Bold and earnest brave and trueB
Fighting with the tongue and penA
And we value what they doB
But my friendsC
To gain our endsC
You must use the ballot tooB
-
When we tell about our causeD
Politicians only smileE
While they mould and make our lawsF
What care they for rank or fileE
Preach and prayG
They sneer and sayG
We'll make liquor laws the whileE
-
We want men who dare to flingH
Party ties and bonds awayG
Who will cast them off and clingH
To the RIGHT and boldly sayG
No beer bloatsI
Shall get our votesI
Then shall our cause gain the dayG
