Unconquered Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCABBA DEEDFF

However skilled and strong art thou my foeA
However fierce is thy relentless hateB
Though firm thy hand and strong thy aim and straightB
Thy poisoned arrow leaves the bended bowC
To pierce the target of my heart ah knowA
I am the master yet of my own fateB
Thou canst not rob me of my best estateB
Though fortune fame and friends yea love shall goA
-
Not to the dust shall my true self be hurledD
Nor shall I meet thy worst assaults dismayedE
When all things in the balance are well weighedE
There is but one great danger in the worldD
Thou canst not force my soul to wish thee illF
That is the only evil that can killF
