Two Women Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEEFF GGHIJKLLMM

I know two women and one is chasteA
And cold as the snows on a winters wasteA
Stainless ever I act and thoughtB
As a man born dumb in speech errs notC
But she has malice toward her kindD
A cruel tongue and a jealous mindD
Void of pity and full of greedE
She judges the world by her narrow creedE
A brewer of quarrels a breeder of hateF
Yet she holds the key to Society s GateF
-
The other woman with heart of flameG
Went mad for a love that marred her nameG
And out of the grave of her murdered faithH
She rose like a soul that has passed through deathI
Her aims are noble her pity so broadJ
It covers the world like the mercy of GodK
A soother of discord a healer of woesL
Peace follows her footsteps wherever she goesL
The worthier life of the two no doubtM
And yet Society locks her outM
