Two Men Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDBBEE FGBBBBHHBB

So much one thought about the life beyondA
He did not drain the waters of his pondA
And when death laid his children 'neath the sodB
He called it 'the mysterious will of God 'C
He would not strive for worldly gain not heD
His wealth he said was stored in God's To BeD
He kept his mortal body poorly drestB
And talked about the garments of the blestB
And when to his last sleep he laid him downE
His only mourner begged her widow's gownE
-
One was not sure there was a life to comeF
So made an Eden of his earthly homeG
He strove for wealth and with an open handB
He comforted the needy in his landB
He wore new garments often and the oldB
Helped many a brother to keep out the coldB
He said this life was such a little spanH
Man ought to make the most of it for manH
And when he died the fortune that he leftB
Gave succour to the needy and bereftB
