Together Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC ADADEE FBFBAA GHIHJJ

We two in the fever and fervour and glowA
Of life's high tide have rejoiced togetherB
We have looked out over the glittering snowA
And known we were dwelling in Summer weatherB
For the seasons are made by the heart I holdC
And not by outdoor heat or coldC
-
We two in the shadows of pain and woeA
Have journeyed together in dim dark placesD
Where black robed Sorrow walked to and froA
And Fear and Trouble with phantom facesD
Peered out upon us and froze our bloodE
Though June's fair roses were all in budE
-
We two have measured all depths all heightsF
We have bathed in tears we have sunned in laughterB
We have known all sorrows and delightsF
They never could keep us apart hereafterB
Whether your spirit went high or lowA
My own would follow and find you I knowA
-
If they took my soul into ParadiseG
And told me I must be content without youH
I would weary them so with my lonesome criesI
And the ceaseless questions I asked about youH
They would open the gates and set me freeJ
Or else they would find you and bring you to meJ
