'There is no death there are no dead ' | - |
From zone to zone from sphere to sphere | B |
The souls of all who pass from here | C |
By hosts of living thoughts are led | D |
And dark or bright those souls must tread | D |
The paths they fashioned year on year | B |
For hells are built of hate or fear | B |
And heavens of love our lives have shed | D |
- | |
Across unatlassed worlds of space | E |
And through God's mighty universe | F |
With thoughts that bless or thoughts that curse | F |
Each journeys to his rightful place | E |
Oh greater truth no man has said | D |
'There is no death there are no dead ' | - |
- | |
It lifts the mourner from the sod | G |
And bids him cast away the reed | H |
Of some uncomforting poor creed | H |
And walk with Knowledge for a rod | G |
It bids the doubter seek the broad | I |
Vast fields where living facts will feed | H |
All those whose patience proves their need | H |
Of these immortal truths of God | G |
- | |
It brings before the eyes of faith | J |
Those realms of radiance tier on tier | C |
Where our beloved 'dead' appear | B |
More beautiful because of 'death ' | - |
It speaks to grief 'Be comforted | K |
There is no death there are no dead ' | - |
