The Way Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEE FGHHII JJAAKKBB

However certain of the way thou artA
Take not the self appointed leader's partA
Follow no man and by no man be ledB
And no man lead AWAKE and go aheadB
Thy path though leading straight unto the goalC
Might prove confusing to another soulC
The goal is central but from east and westD
And north and south we set out on the questD
From lofty mountains and from valleys lowE
How could all find one common way to goE
-
Lord Buddha to the wilderness was broughtF
Lord Jesus to the Cross And yet think notG
By solitude or cross thou canst achieveH
Lest in thine own true Self thou dost believeH
Know thou art One with life's Almighty SourceI
Then are thy feet set on the certain CourseI
-
Nor does it matter if thou feast or fastJ
Or what thy creed or where thy lot is castJ
In halls of pleasure or in crowded martA
In city streets or from all men apartA
Thy path leads to the Light and peace and powerK
Shall be thy portion growing hour by hourK
Follow no man and by no man be ledB
And no man lead But KNOW and go aheadB
