The Suitors Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCABA DEFDED AGHAGA IJKIJI

There is a little BungalowA
Perched on a granite ledgeB
And at its feet two suitors meetC
I watch them and I knowA
One waits outside the casement edgeB
One paces to and froA
-
The Patient Rock speaks not a wordD
The Sea goes up and downE
And sings full oft in cadence softF
I listen and have heardD
Again he wears an angry frownE
By jealous passion stirredD
-
This dawn the Rock was all aglowA
Far out the mad Sea wentG
Beyond the raft like one gone daftH
I saw them and I knowA
While radiant and well contentG
Smiled down the BungalowA
-
That was at Dawn ere day had setI
The Sea with pleading voiceJ
Came back to woo his love anewK
I saw them when they metI
And now I know not which her choiceJ
The Rock's gray face was wetI
