The Song Of The Allies Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDD EFGGHHII BBJJKKAA

We are the Allies of God to dayA
And the width of the earth is our right of wayA
Let no man question or ask us whyB
As we speed to answer a wild world cryB
Let no man hinder or ask us whereC
As out over water and land we fareC
For whether we hurry or whether we waitD
We follow the finger of guiding fateD
-
-
We are the Allies We differ in faithE
But are one in our courage at thought of deathF
Many and varied the tongues we speakG
But one and the same is the goal we seekG
And the goal we seek is not power or placeH
But the peace of the world and the good of the raceH
And little matters the colour of skinI
When each heart under it beats to winI
-
-
We are the Allies we fight or flyB
We wallow in trenches like pigs in a styB
We dive under water to foil a foeJ
We wait in quarters or rise and goJ
And staying or going or near or farK
One thought is ever our guiding starK
We are the Allies of God to dayA
We are the Allies make way make wayA
