How will Christ come back againA
How will He be seen and whereB
Where His chosen wayC
Will He come in dead of nightD
Shining in His robes of lightD
Or at dawn of dayC
-
Will it be at Christmas timeE
When the bells are all achimeE
That He is re bornF
Or will He return and bringG
Wide and wondrous wakeningG
On some Easter mornF
-
When will this sad world rejoiceH
Listening to that golden voiceH
Speaking unto menA
Lives there one who yet shall cryI
Loud to startled passers byI
'Christ has come again '-
-
List the answer Christ is hereJ
Seek and you shall find him nearK
Dwelling on the earthL
By the world's awakened thoughtM
This great miracle is wroughtM
This the second birthL
-
While you wonder where and nowN
Christ shall come behold him NOWN
Patient loving meekG
Looking from your neighbour's eyesO
Or in humble toiling guiseO
Lo the Christ you seekG
-
Look for him in human heartsP
In the shops and in the martsP
And beside your hearthQ
Search and speak the watchword LoveR
And the Christ shall rise and proveS
He has come to earthL
-
Sorrowful ofttimes is HeT
That we have not eyes to seeT
Have not ears to hearJ
As we call to Him afarU
Out beyond some distant starU
While He stands so nearK
-
Seek Him seek Him where He dwellsV
Chime the voices of the bellsV
On the Christmas airB
Christ has come to earth againA
He is in the hearts of menA
Seek and find him thereB
