The Rainbow Of Promise Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH

In the face of the sun are great thunderbolts hurledA
And the storm clouds have shut out its lightB
But a Rainbow of Promise now shines on the worldA
And the universe thrills at the sightB
-
Tis the flag of our Union the red white and blueC
Our Star spangled Banner our prideD
Fair symbol of all that is noble and trueC
Flung out over continents wideD
-
Flung out in its glory o'er land and o'er seaE
With a message from God in each starF
And a glorious promise of peace yet to beE
In the fluttering folds of each barF
-
A Rainbow of Promise bright emblem of hopeG
Fair flag of each cause that is justH
No longer in doubt or in darkness we gropeG
In the Star spangled Banner we trustH
