The Past Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKDLM

Fling my past behind me like a robeA
Worn threadbare in the seams and out of dateB
I have outgrown it Wherefore should I weepC
And dwell up on its beauty and its dyesD
Of Oriental splendour or complainE
That I must needs discard it I can weaveF
Upon the shuttles of the future yearsG
A fabric far more durable SubduedH
It may be in the blending of its huesI
Where sombre shades commingle yet the gleamJ
Of golden warp shall shoot it through and throughK
While over all a fadeless lustre liesD
And starred with gems made out of crystalled tearsL
My new robe shall be richer than the oldM
