I have not the gift of visionA
I have not the psychic earB
And the realms that are called ElysianA
I neither see nor hearB
Yet oft when the shadows darkenA
And the daylight hides its faceC
The soul of me seems to hearkenA
For the truths that speak through spaceC
-
-
They speak to me not through reasonA
They speak to me not by wordD
Yet my soul would be guilty of treasonA
If it did not say it had heardD
For Space has a message compellingE
To give to the ear of EarthF
And the things which the Silence is tellingE
In the bosom of God have birthF
-
-
Now this is the truth as I hear itG
That ever through good or illH
The will of the Ruling SpiritI
Is moving and ruling stillH
In the clutch of the blood red terrorJ
That holds the world in its mightK
The Race is learning its errorJ
And will find its way to the lightK
-
-
And this is the Truth as I see itG
Whoever cries out for peaceL
Must think it and live it and be itG
And the wars of the world will ceaseL
Men fight that man may awakenA
And no longer want to killH
Wars rage and the heavens are shakenA
That man may learn how to be stillH
-
-
In the silence he finds his SaviourJ
The God Who is dwelling withinA
And only by Christ behaviourJ
Is the soul of him saved from sinA
There is only one Source no otherJ
One Light and each soul is a rayJ
And he who would slaughter his brotherJ
Himself he is seeking to slayJ
-
-
Now these are the Truths we are learningE
Through evils and horrors untoldM
For the thought of the race is turningE
Away from its methods of oldM
And the mind of the race is satedN
With the things that it prized of yoreJ
And the monster of war is hatedO
As never on earth beforeJ
-
-
Oh slow are God's mills in the grindingE
But they grind exceedingly smallP
And slow is man's soul in the findingE
That he is a part of the AllP
Through ons and ons his storyJ
Is bloody and blackened with crimeQ
But he will come out into gloryJ
And stand on the summits sublimeQ
-
-
He will stand on the summits of KnowledgeR
In the splendour of Light from the SourceS
And the methods of church and of collegeT
Will all of them change by his forceS
For the creeds that are blind and cruelU
And the teachings by rule and by rodV
Will all be turned into fuelU
To light up the pathway to GodV
-
-
This is the Truth as I hear itG
-
The clouds are rolling awayJ
And spirit will talk with SpiritI
In the swift approaching dayJ
War from the world shall be drivenA
From evil shall come forth goodW
And men shall make ready for HeavenA
Through living in BrotherhoodW
