And ring throughout the universe | B |

Of our desires and not by acts | D |
There is no pathway of escape | C |
No priest made creeds can alter facts | D |

Salvation is not begged or bought | E |
Too long this selfish hope sufficed | F |
Too long man reeked with lawless thought | G |
And leaned upon a tortured Christ | F |

Like shriveled leaves these worn out creeds | H |
Are dropping from Religion s tree | I |
The world begins to know its needs | H |
And souls are crying to be free | I |

Free from the load of fear and grief | J |
Man fashioned in an ignorant age | K |
Free from the ache of unbelief | J |
He fled to in rebellious rage | K |

No church can bind him to the things | L |
That fed the first crude souls evolved | M |
For mounting up on daring wings | L |
He questions mysteries all unsolved | M |

Above the chant of priests above | J |
The blatant voice of braying doubt | N |
He hears the still small voice of Love | J |
Which sends its simple message out | N |

And clearer sweeter day by day | O |
Its mandate echoes from the skies | P |
Go roll the stone of self away | O |
And let the Christ within thee rise | P |
