The Answer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBBCCDDEEEFG HHIIJJKLMNO PQRDDSSTT

Up to the gates of gleaming PearlA
There came the spirit of a girlA
And to the white robed Guard she saidB
'Dear Angel am I truly deadB
Just yonder lying on my bedB
I heard them say it and they weptC
And after that methinks I sleptC
Then when I woke I saw your faceD
And suddenly was in this placeD
It seems a pleasant place to beE
Yet earth was fair enough to meE
What is there here to do or seeE
Will I see God dear Angel sayF
And is He very far away 'G
-
The Angel said 'You are in truthH
What men call dead That word to youthH
Is full of terror but it meansI
Only a change of tasks and scenesI
You have been brought to us becauseJ
Of certain ancient karmic lawsJ
Set into motion aeons goneK
By us you will be guided onL
From plane to plane and sphere to sphereM
Until your tasks are finished hereN
Then back to earth the home of manO
To work again another span '-
-
'But Angel when will I see God '-
-
'After the final path is trodP
After you no more long or craveQ
To see or hear or own or haveR
Aught beside HIM Then shall His faceD
Reveal itself to you in spaceD
And you shall find yourself made oneS
With that Great Sun behind the sunS
Child go thy way inside the gateT
Where many eager loved ones waitT
Death is but larger life begun '-
