Spirit Of A Great Control Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDD EFEFGGAA HIHIJJKK

Spirit of a Great ControlA
Gird me with thy strength and mightB
Essence of the Over SoulA
Fill me thrill me with thy lightB
Though the waves of sorrow beatC
Madly at my very feetC
Though the night and storm are nearD
Teach me that I need not fearD
-
Though the clouds obscure the skyE
When the tempest sweeps the landsF
Still about below on highE
God's great solar system standsF
Never yet a star went outG
What have I to fear or doubtG
I a part of this great wholeA
Governed by the Over SoulA
-
Like the great eternal hillsH
Like the rock that fronts the waveI
Let me meet all earthly illsH
With a fearless heart and braveI
Like the earth that drinks the rainJ
Let me welcome floods of painJ
Till I grow in strength to beK
Worthy of my source in TheeK
