Sorrow's Uses Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AA BB CC DD EE FF GG DD

The uses of sorrow I comprehendA
Better and better at each year s endA
-
Deeper and deeper I seem to seeB
Why and wherefore it has to beB
-
Only after the dark wet daysC
Do we fully rejoice in the sun s bright raysC
-
Sweeter the crust tastes after the fastD
Than the sated gourmand s finest repastD
-
The faintest cheer sounds never amissE
To the actor who once has heard a hissE
-
To one who the sadness of freedom knowsF
Light seem the fetters love may imposeF
-
And he who has dwelt with his heart aloneG
Hears all the music in friendship s toneG
-
So better and better I comprehendD
How sorrow ever would be our friendD
