So Long In Coming Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAABABA CDCDEAEA FGFGHAHA

When shall I hear the thrushes singA
And see their graceful round throats swellingA
When shall I watch the bluebirds bringA
The straws and twiglets for their dwellingA
When shall I hear among the treesB
The little martial partridge drummingA
Oh Hasten Sights and sounds that pleaseB
The summer is so long in comingA
-
The winds are talking with the sunC
I hope they will combine togetherD
And melt the snow drifts one by oneC
And bring again the golden weatherD
Oh haste make haste dear sun and windE
I long to hear the brown bee hummingA
I seek for blooms I cannot findE
The summer is so long in comingA
-
The winter has been cold so coldF
Its winds are harsh and bleak and drearyG
And all its sports are stale and oldF
We wait for something now more cheeryG
Come up O summer from the southH
And bring the harps your hands are thrummingA
We pine for kisses from your mouthH
Oh Do not be so long in comingA
