Show Me The Way Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDEDECCFGFGCCHI HICC

Show me the way that leads to the true lifeA
I do not care what tempests may assail meB
I shall be given courage for the strifeA
I know my strength will not desert or fail meB
I know that I shall conquer in the frayC
Show me the wayC
Show me the way up to a higher planeD
Where body shall be servant to the soulE
I do not care what tides of woe or painD
Across my life their angry waves may rollE
If I but reach the end I seek some dayC
Show me the wayC
Show me the way and let me bravely climbF
Above vain grievings for unworthy treasuresG
Above all sorrow that finds balm in timeF
Above small triumphs or belittling pleasuresG
Up to those heights where these things seem child's playC
Show me the wayC
Show me the way to that calm perfect peaceH
Which springs from an inward consciousness of rightI
To where all conflicts with the flesh shall ceaseH
And self shall radiate with the spirit's lightI
Though hard the journey and the strife I prayC
Show me the wayC
