Reminders Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFGF HIHI GJGJ

When in the early dawn I hear the thrushesA
And like a flood of waters o'er my heartB
The memory of another summer rushesA
How can I rise up and perform my partB
-
When in the languid eve I hear the wailingC
Of the uncomforted sad mourning doveD
Whose grief like mine seems deep as unavailingC
What will I do with all this wealth of loveD
-
When the sweet rain falls over hills and meadowsE
And the tall poplar's silver leaves are wetF
And like my soul the world seems draped in shadowG
How shall I hush this passionate regretF
-
When the wild bee is wooing the red cloverH
And the fair rose smiles on the butterflyI
Missing thy smile and kiss O love my loverH
Who on God's earth so desolate as II
-
My tortured senses new despair will borrowG
From those reminders of a vanished dayJ
That was as full of joy as this of sorrowG
O beautiful sad summer keep awayJ
