Queries Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDEDEFFG HGHDDIJIJKKDGDGDDLML MNN

Well how has it been with you since we metA
That last strange time of a hundred timesB
When we met to swear that we could forgetA
I your caresses and you my rhymesB
The rhyme of my lays that rang like a bellC
And the rhyme of my heart with yours as wellC
How has it been since we drank that last kissD
That was bitter with lees of the wasted wineE
When the tattered remains of a threadbare blissD
And the worn out shreds of a joy divineE
With a year's best dreams and hopes were castF
Into the rag bag of the PastF
Since Time the rag buyer hurried awayG
-
With a chuckle of glee at a bargain madeH
Did you discover like me one dayG
That hid in the folds of those garments frayedH
Were priceless jewels and diademsD
The soul's best treasures the heart's best gemsD
Have you too found that you could not supplyI
The place of those jewels so rare and chasteJ
Do all that you borrow or beg or buyI
Prove to be nothing but skilful pasteJ
Have you found pleasure as I found artK
Not all sufficient to fill your heartK
Do you sometimes sigh for the tattered shredsD
Of the old delight that we cast awayG
And find no worth in the silken threadsD
Of newer fabrics we wear to dayG
Have you thought the bitter of that last kissD
Better than sweets of a later blissD
What idle queries or yes or noL
Whatever your answer I understandM
That there is no pathway by which we can goL
Back to the dead past's wonderlandM
And the gems he purchased from me from youN
There is no rebuying from Time the JewN
