Praise Day Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABACAC ADADAEAE AFAFGHGH

Let us halt now for a space in our hurryingA
Let us take time to look up and look outB
Let us refuse for a spell to be worryingA
Let us decline to both question and doubtB
If one goes cavillingA
Hair splitting flaw hunting ready for strifeC
All the best pleasure is missed in the travellingA
Onward through lifeC
-
Just for to day we will put away sorrowingA
Just for to day not a tear shall be shedD
Nor will we fear anything or go borrowingA
Pain from the future by profitless dreadD
Thought shall go frolickingA
Pleasuring treasuring everything brightE
Tasting the joy that is found just in rollickingA
On through the lightE
-
Just for to day all the ills that need betteringA
We will omit from our notebook of mindF
All that is good we will mark by red letteringA
Those things alone we are seeking to findF
Things to be sad overG
Pine over whine over pass them I sayH
Nothing is noted save what we are glad overG
This is Praise DayH
