On Rainy Days Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGDGD HIHIJDJD

On rainy days old dreams ariseA
From graves where they have lonely lainB
With wan white cheeks and mournful eyesA
They press against the window paneB
One dream is bolder than the restC
She enters at the door and staysD
A welcome yet unbidden guestC
On rainy daysD
-
On rainy days my dream and IE
Turn back the hands of memory's booksF
We sup on pleasures long gone byE
We drink of unforgotten brooksF
We ransack garrets of the PastG
We sing old songs we play old playsD
While hurrying Time looks on aghastG
On rainy daysD
-
On rainy days my ghostly dreamsH
Come clothed in garments like the mistI
But through that vapoury veiling gleamsH
The lustrous eyes my lips have kissedI
A radiant head leans on my heartJ
We walk in well remembered waysD
But oh the sorrow when we partJ
On rainy daysD
