Old Age Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCADEEDFGGFHH

The young see heaven but to the old who waitA
The final call the hills of youth ariseB
More beautiful than shores of ParadiseC
Beside a glowing and voracious grateA
A dozing couple dream of yesterdayD
The islands of a vanished past appearE
Bringing forgotten names and faces nearE
While lost in mist the present fades awayD
The fragrant winds of tender memories blowF
Across the gardens of the Used to beG
They smile into each other's eyes and seeG
The bride and bridegroom of the long agoF
And tremulous lips pressed close to faded cheekH
Love's silent tale of deathless passion speakH
