Nothing New Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCB DEDEDE FGFGFG FHFHFHH

From the dawn of spring till the year grows hoaryA
Nothing is new that is done or saidB
The leaves are telling the same old storyA
Budding bursting dying deadB
And ever and always the wild bird's chorusC
Is coming building flying fledB
-
Never the round earth roams or rangesD
Out of her circuit so old so oldE
And the smile o' the sun knows but these changesD
Beaming burning tender coldE
As Spring time softens or Winter estrangesD
The mighty heart of this orb of goldE
-
From our great sire's birth to the last morn's breakingF
There were tempest sunshine fruit and frostG
And the sea was calm or the sea was shakingF
His mighty main like a lion crossedG
And ever this cry the heart was makingF
Longing loving losing lostG
-
Forever the wild wind wanders cryingF
Southerly easterly north and westH
And one worn song the fields are sighingF
Sowing growing harvest restH
And the tired thought of the world replyingF
Like an echo to what is last and bestH
Murmurs RestH
