Never Mind Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIHJKLK MNONPKQK

Whatever your work and whatever its worthA
No matter how strong or cleverB
Some one will sneer if you pause to hearC
And scoff at your best endeavourB
For the target art has a broad expanseD
And wherever you chance to hit itE
Though close be your aim to the bull's eye fameF
There are those who will never admit itE
-
Though the house applauds while the artist playsG
And a smiling world adores himH
Somebody is there with an ennuied airI
To say that the acting bores himH
For the tower of art has a lofty spireJ
With many a stair and landingK
And those who climb seem small oft timeL
To one at the bottom standingK
-
So work along in your chosen nicheM
With a steady purpose to nerve youN
Let nothing men say who pass your wayO
Relax your courage or swerve youN
The idle will flock by the Temple of ArtP
For just the pleasure of gazingK
But climb to the top and do not stopQ
Though they may not all be praisingK
