| Some one will sneer if you pause to hear | C |
| And scoff at your best endeavour | B |
| For the target art has a broad expanse | D |
| And wherever you chance to hit it | E |
| Though close be your aim to the bull's eye fame | F |
| There are those who will never admit it | E |

| And a smiling world adores him | H |
| Somebody is there with an ennuied air | I |

| For the tower of art has a lofty spire | J |

| To one at the bottom standing | K |

| Relax your courage or swerve you | N |
| The idle will flock by the Temple of Art | P |
| For just the pleasure of gazing | K |
