My Vision Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDE BFGFHIJI KCLCMNIN AOPOAQRQ AFPFQBDB

Wherever my feet may wanderA
Wherever I chance to beB
There comes with the coming of even' timeC
A vision sweet to meB
I see my mother sittingD
In the old familiar placeE
And she rocks to the tune her needles singD
And thinks of an absent faceE
-
I can hear the roar of the cityB
AAbout me now as I writeF
But over an hundred miles of snowG
My thought steeds fly tonightF
To the dear little cozy cottageH
And the room where mother sitsI
And slowly rocks in her easy chairJ
And thinks of me as she knitsI
-
Sometimes with the merry dancersK
When my feet are keeping timeC
And my heart beats high as young hearts willL
To the music's rhythmic chimeC
My spirit slips over the distanceM
Over the glitter and whirlN
To my mother who sits and rocks and knitsI
And thinks of her little girlN
-
And when I listen to voices that flatterA
And smile as women doO
To whispered words that may be sweetP
But are not always trueO
I think of the sweet quaint pictureA
Afar in quiet waysQ
And I know one smile of my mother's eyesR
Is better than all their praiseQ
-
And I know I can never wanderA
Far from the path of rightF
Though snares are set for a woman's feetP
In places that seem most brightF
For the vision is with me alwaysQ
Wherever I chance to beB
Of mother sitting rocking and knittingD
Thinking and praying for meB
